Thank you so much, Hannah! This is such a fun little challenge to be doing and has really gotten me thinking about all the quotes that I adore and ones that have such special meaning to me. If you’re not already following her amazing blog, then WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO, GO, GO!
Ahem, back to the rules.
- Post a quote each day for three consecutive days.
- Nominate three new bloggers a day.
It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.
I absolutely love this quote by J.K. Rowling. It’s a reminder to me that my anxiety is lying. I can never be perfect, and I can never be flawless, and I can never be faultless. This is the point Dave will tell me, ‘HA!’ because he once told me, while he was drunk, that I was perfect and flawless, and I’ve never let him forget it since 😂 but, in all seriousness, he’s also reminding me that failing at something is okay. Five years ago, when my anxiety was as its worst, I was so afraid of not being perfect that I stopped living. I merely existed. So this is a quote I carry with me on a daily basis, to serve as a reminder that failing is a part of life. Failing is not optional. The only time you don’t fail is when you stop living your life. I want to live.
